At Bhatia Orthodontics, we specialize in providing Orthodontic treatment for the entire family using a perfect blend of advanced technology and compassion. Whether it be Braces or Invisalign, we use the latest proven technology that makes treatment less noticeable, with improved comfort and reduced frequency of appointments and treatment time. Especially important is the fact that new techniques can possibly eliminate the need for extraction of permanent teeth and the need for future surgery in growing children. Dr. Bhatia’s dual training makes her uniquely qualified to diagnose and intercept malalignment concerns that might lead to more problematic issues as growth progresses.
Braces are used to assist in aligning and straightening teeth in order to not only improve appearance, but to also improve a person’s bite. Having braces isn’t just about improving your smile, but it’s also about improving your overall dental health. Orthodontics may be used to correct malocclusions, overbites, underbites, cross bites, deep bites, crooked teeth and other flaws of the teeth and jaws. Used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances, braces can also help make corrections to a person’s bite.
Your first visit will begin with a complimentary consultation with Dr. Bhatia to review the best alternatives for your orthodontic care. Dr. Bhatia will address any questions you may have regarding your treatment and will work with you to provide a comprehensive plan for orthodontic therapy.
Invisalign® & Invisalign® Teen
Teenagers – and most adults – don’t like the idea of the old “metal mouth” braces. We offer Invisalign® and Invisalign® Teen clear aligners to straighten your smile instead of bulky metal braces of the past. Invisalign® Teen has great features for young patients and is the perfect solution for teens on the go.
Providing a modern approach to straightening teeth, Invisalign® uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible BPA Free, FDA approved plasticlike material that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements Dr. Bhatia prescribes for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
It is the quality of the prescription that helps the aligner to perform with a higher degree of accuracy to deliver a better result. Hence the experience of the prescribing orthodontist with this technology is important. We are an Elite Invisalign® provider – a distinction only given to 1% of practices in the nation by Invisalign® to orthodontists that have completed over 1000 cases with this method!
Clear Ceramic braces are popular with adults and teenagers who want a fixed method to move their teeth without the look of metal.
Clear braces combine tieless braces with high technology archwires that are clinically proven to move teeth quickly and comfortably with truly spectacular smile and facial results. Available from skilled orthodontists, clear braces combine the best of conventional metal braces and invisible aligners to deliver a discrete treatment experience with results that go beyond straight teeth.
Metal Braces are made from stainless steel brackets and wires. Traditional metal braces are still the most popular types of braces as they produce high quality results. We use the latest brackets and wires that allow for more control of each tooth. The high tech materials enable us to spread out your appointments 6-8 weeks apart as compared to the traditional 3-4 weeks apart. The force applied to the teeth is gentler and there is less discomfort.
There are several FDA Approved methods that accelerate orthodontic movement and reduce the treatment time by about 40%-60%.
Propel® is a minimally invasive treatment that works with your own body to stimulate the bone growth, releasing stubborn tooth movement and accelerating treatment. By stimulating the bone naturally and physiologically, we can achieve a more ideal finish. Teeth are moved with greater predictability and treatment can be completed in 40-60% less time. Propel® can be used with both traditional braces or Invisalign® and is completed in the office with little discomfort and no recovery time.
- The procedure is done with a numbing topical gel and in most instances no injections are needed
- There is no post-operative down time and all normal activities can be resumed after the procedure.
- Post-operative discomfort is minimal and is well controlled with a NSAID such as Tylenol®.

Propel® VPro5 is an innovative orthodontic device that uses high-frequency vibrations to complement your clear aligner therapy. Used for only 5 minutes per day, the VPro5 vibrates gently to help ensure that aligners are fully engaged with secure seating.
Dr. Bhatia uses Vivera® Clear Retainers from Invisalign® to help complete your orthodontic treatment and reduce shifting after your braces are removed. Custom made from a digital impression of your teeth, these retainers are created from material that is 30% stronger than other clear retainers which reduces the possibilities of cracking or breaking. They also provide a better fit and are more comfortable to wear than traditional retainers. You are given 4 sets of retainers in case of loss or breakage. (“The dog ate my retainer” is the most common of retainer loss stories.)
Using this process of re-mineralization, it is possible to reverse the appearance of “white spots” on the teeth.
- No bothersome heat or harmful ultraviolet rays (via laser light)
- Our product includes Potassium Nitrate and Fluoride for stronger enamel, decreased sensitivity, and caries prevention
Soft tissue diode laser sculpting is used to cosmetically reshape the architecture of the gums. In some cases, there is redundant (extra) gum tissue that forms a pocket around the teeth creating a hard-to-clean area where bacteria can grow.
Removing the extra gum tissue can:
- Improve the ability to keep the teeth clean
- Improve your smile by lengthening the teeth
In other cases, the teeth may be straight, but the smile still appears “crooked” because the gum line is uneven. Balancing the gum line creates a symmetry and enhances the perception of a straight smile.
Snoring and sleep apnea can interfere with the ability to get a good night’s rest and are often treated by mouthpieces, breathing devices and in serious cases, surgery. Snoring is caused by narrowing or blocking of the airway. The disruption of airflow causes the soft palate and tissues of the throat to vibrate, and the narrower the airway becomes, the louder the snoring. Sleep apnea is a disorder which causes one or more pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while you sleep. Paused or shallow breathing caused by sleep apnea causes shifts from deep sleep into light sleep, reducing the overall quality of sleep and causing ongoing sleep disruption.
Dr. Bhatia has been specially trained to use orthodontics to treat both snoring and sleep apnea. Realigning the bite and teeth can alleviate the narrowing or obstructing the airway, reducing symptoms and providing better sleep and better overall health.
